REV. Andrew howe

Senior Pastor

Pastor Andrew has been at Mount Calvary since November 2018. He was born and raised in Frankenmuth, MI. After high school, he completed his undergraduate degree at Concordia University Chicago, where he met his wife, Whitney. After college, Pastor began studies at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, MO.

In 2014, Pastor and Whitney were married at Grace Lutheran in Murfreesboro, TN. One week later, Pastor and Whitney moved to Boca Raton, FL, where Pastor Andrew served as a Vicar (pastoral internship) at St. Paul Lutheran Church and School, while Whitney served in Children’s Ministry. After vicarage, Pastor Andrew and Whitney moved to St. Louis, MO for Pastor’s final year at Concordia Seminary.

While finishing seminary, Pastor Andrew received his first call as a pastor. He was called to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Elgin, IL as an Associate Pastor. Pastor Andrew served at Good Shepherd until receiving the call to be Associate Pastor at Mount Calvary in 2018.

Pastor Andrew enjoys teaching, preaching, and spending time with people studying God’s Word, while serving with others to serve our gracious God! When not busy with ministry, you can find Pastor Andrew enjoying Warner Robins with his wife, Whitney, and their three sons, Jensen, Davis, and Mason. When free time is available, Pastor Andrew enjoys time in God’s beautiful creation (the backyard, hunting, or fishing) and cheering on his Michigan State Spartans (Go Green!). They are excited to be in Warner Robins and at Mount Calvary, “Connecting People to Jesus and to One Another to Serve the World.”

Rev. Pete LeBorious

Associate Pastor

Pastor Pete LeBorious is our Associate Pastor of Youth and Education.  Pastor Pete was ordained in 2019 but has served within the Lutheran Church in Youth Ministry and Christian Education for over 30 years.  He has been serving the community of Warner Robins at Mount Calvary the past fourteen.  Over his years serving Mount Calvary his position has grown.  Currently Pastor Pete still heads up our Youth and Education ministries but also serves Mount Calvary through his teaching, equipping and administration.

Pastor Pete’s ministry at Mount Calvary is blessed and supported by his wife, Sonja, who helps teach Middle School Bible History as well as keeping his family running.  Together Pastor Pete and Sonja have raised five sons.  Their oldest serves as a pastor in California.  Next in line is a mechanical engineer in Arizona.  The middle son is currently in dental school.  The twins are split with one studying chemical engineering in Memphis and the other studying Lutheran Elementary Education in Chicago.

Pastor Pete loves telling stories in sermons, lessons, and our online devotions.  He feels they are a great way to connect lessons to our daily lives, but also believes they are an important tool in getting to know people.  He would love to share some stories from our ministry here at Mount Calvary with you AND would LOVE to hear some of your stories as God blesses him with an opportunity to get to know you better.

jack knight

secretary

Jack Knight wound up in Warner Robins because his wife, Yvonne, got a job at Robins Air Force Base at the same time Jack retired from the Air Force after 30 years of service.  While his wife was away at a six-month long school, he agreed to bring the boys to church while she was gone. That first weekend, he saw a notice in the bulletin, asking for volunteer help in the church office “a few hours a day, a few days a week” until the current secretary returned.  In January 1995, Pastor Michael interviewed Jack and asked him if he’d take the job (for pay) until the secretary, who was absent, returned. Jack agreed to the temporary post which became permanent after the former secretary was unable to return.  When Jack’s mother was later diagnosed with cancer, he resigned to be able to get home to Texas and see her more often.  His mother responded to treatment and Jack was available to sit in when his replacement, had to undergo surgery. When she decided not to return to the job, Pastor Brighton asked Jack if he would like his old job back, Jack said “Yes” and has been at it ever since.

Jack has twins, Jack and Theresa, and sons Joshua and Matthew, all children being “Air Force brats.” His wife, Yvonne, is retired from the Air Force Reserve and civil service at Robins Air Force Base.  Jack has a couple of Associate degrees and a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Information Technology. His only hobby is working with computers. He builds and upgrades them and helps member of the congregation when they have problems with their computers.  While in the Air Force, Jack worked as a radio operator, administrative specialist, computer programmer and first sergeant.
