  • Do you enjoy children? We are seeking another individual, over 18, to work in our church nursery once or twice a month from 7:50 am to 12:15 pm. This is a paid and flexible position. Nursery workers work together to cover each month’s services to accommodate everyone’s schedules. If interested, talk to Pastor Pete.

  • Slide Projectionist Help Needed for Sunday 10:45 am Services. We need a projectionist to cover March, July, and November services (2022). There are times when no backup projectionist is available, so we will rely on this volunteer to cover these services. If you’re willing to help with this important function, contact Elder John Harmon: 478-918-3675 or khesanh@iCloud.com.

  • Sing a NEW song to the Lord, sing a joyful noise to the Lord all the earth! Psalm 96:1 Join something NEW in 2022! All are invited to join us for Sanctuary Choir starting up for the season on Wednesday January 12th at 7pm in the choir loft. New members of all skill levels are welcome to join us for the spring season of Handbell Choir starting up on Monday January 24th. We have two choirs that meet on Monday- 6:30pm and 7:15pm.   • Middle and High School TAG families and friends are encouraged to join us next Saturday, January 15th, 7-9 pm for a family game night. We will gather around the tables and play (or learn to play) some classic card and board games. This is a FREE event to bring families together.

  • The Youth Board will be meeting on Sunday, January 16th, from 11:45-1 pm in the Annex. We will be discussing upcoming events and fund-raisers including Lutheran Night and the National Youth Gathering. Looking forward to seeing y’all there!

  • Applications for the Spring/Summer session of SLDT (Student Leadership Development Team) are available in the Annex and need to be turned in to Pastor Pete by Sunday, January 17th. Their Winter Planning Retreat will be on Saturday, January 22nd from 9 am – 3 pm.

  • The Gideons will be giving an updated report on their worldwide evangelism efforts at the Saturday, 1/22/22 and Sunday, 1/23/22 services. Mt Calvary has five men who are members of the Gideons, and we have generously supported the Gideons in the past. They will be taking up a free-will offering after each of the three services. Please consider supporting this international organization with your prayers and financial support.

  • There will be a meeting for National Youth Gathering Attendees AND THEIR PARENTS on Sunday, January 23rd, 6:30-8 pm in the Annex. This REQUIRED meeting will go over details regarding the trip, the finances, and work on developing our group covenant.

  • This event will run from Friday, January 28th @ 5:00 pm through Saturday, January 29th @ 7 pm. It is open to all High School Youth and their friends. The cost is $25/person for a weekend of Fellowship, Bible Studies, Devotions, and serving at various locations around our community!

  • Sunday, January 30th, 5-7 pm

    In the Fellowship Hall

    Tickets for the dinner and entertainment are $5/person and go on sale Sunday, January 9th.

    Our 7th annual Lutheran night will include:

    • A very Lutheran Dinner including hot-dishes and Jell-O molds!
    • A very Lutheran Show with lots of spoofs, skits, and loads of laughter.
    • A very Lutheran Silent Auction with gift baskets that can be bid on and bought.

    This very Lutheran Evening is to gather and have some fun as brothers and sisters in Christ as we raise a little bit of money for Mount Calvary’s youth ministry.


    Help Needed

    Lutheran night is an annual Youth Ministry fund-raiser that includes a dinner and a silent auction.  Our Youth Ministry program usually raises between $1,200 and $1,600 with this event.  But to have a successful Lutheran Night we need everyone to pitch in.  You can help in the following ways:

    Baskets:  Families are asked to either contribute $20 per child to help with purchasing materials for the baskets to be auctioned off or offer to assemble one of the baskets for auction (To be reimbursed for expenses)

    Set-Up & Cooking:  We will be preparing the meal on Sunday, January 30th, beginning at 2:00 pm.

    Serving & Clean-Up:  This shift will help serve, run the auction, and restore the Fellowship Hall to its clean and ready for ministry condition.
